Reykjanes Peninsula Tour Plan:
The Reykjanes Peninsula is truly a unique place. This volcanic area is filled with hidden treasures, and it’ s said that elves and trolls can be found here.
We start our journey from Reykjavik, passing through the town of elves and heading to the very end of the peninsula, where we will visit one of Iceland’s oldest lighthouses and a wooden boat that rests on land. Next, we will explore the villages of Hafnir and Sandgerdi, rich in history and hidden gems.
Our journey continues to the bridge connecting North America and Europe. Nearby, we’ll visit one of Iceland’s most beautiful beaches, Surfer’s Beach, with its iconic black sand. A short drive south will take us to the first geothermal springs and the breathtaking cliffs by the Reykjanes lighthouse.
Our final stop is Kleifarvatn Lake, surrounded by picturesque mountains, featuring a stunning cave and sulfuric hot springs. For the brave, there’s an option to take a dip in the lake or warm springs.
